September 2025 results
This month started out quite fun. I commissioned my new book cover and character art for my standalone book: Women in warehouse 13. I also added it onto Amazon for presale.
I realised in August I had forgotten to use my ‘5 free days listing’ on Amazon for my novellas, which I did leading up to the next three month enrollment on the 19th September. On the 9th September, The Charity Job Board was free for it’s fourth day. It went from 6 downloads to over 868 out of the blue. Why? I wondered if someone has posted about it in a facebook group…. then when I opened my emails, I saw one from BookBub. I always open and read their emails and there was my Ad, #1 for branding that they had sent out to their author database. To say I was chuffed to peices is an understatement. I have been dreaming all year that I make their top Ads of the year for 2025, so this was a real boost that they had noticed my book!
It has been interesting to see how The Secret Proposal went with the launch. I didn’t ARC it for the same reason I didn’t ARC The Secret Job. They are pretty out there and if the reader hasn’t read the first book, it’s going to be pretty wild. So, book three launch went quite well I think all things considered. I am no marketing genius so I focused what I could on the things I know best: Keywords and categories on Amazon. Plus the fact I had 130 pre orders to start with. A small but mighty anticipation. The Secret Proposal went to #1 New Release on the US Amazon charts for over two weeks in the LGBTQ+ Erotica category. I really worried over it because of the lactation kink, however I did put trigger warnings on the listing, so I did give forewarning to anyone going in blind, unlike what I had done for my first two books. Nether the less, the book has received mixed reviews because the reader is either going to love the lactation kink or completely hate it. I wanted to be authentic to what I wanted to write and read so I didn’t hold back and so, I have to accept this feedback. It is kinda cool to see on my Amazon dashboard that I now have three books listed.
This month I was brave and reached out to Ginger & Spice (Tia and Nkita) and Elite Reading (Laura). I did hear back from Ginger & Spice and I’m uber excited for them to read my books. I have a good feeling that they’ll enjoy them, but I’m trying so hard not to get my hopes up.
Whilst I did finish writing Women in Warehouse 13 and have been editing it. I was also meant to have all or at least half of my next secret WIP done. Unfortunately that did not happen. I had a few bumpy weeks personally and need to remember I also have a real life as well as the fantasy lives I create. And I also have a job, two beautiful growing up fast kids, a dog who needs walking and a husband who needs loving. So I need show kindness to myself. I have brought out three books this year, plus another for October. Writing my fifth is just going to take a bit longer. Next year I’m going to take things a bit easier (she says that now…) I have one juicy dark romance I am so excited to sink my teeth into, then I have Sophie’s and Sandy’s stories that are coming together in my mind. One naughty step at a time.
I’m excited for October for the launch of Women in Warehouse 13 at the very end of the month, I’m going all PR and ARC for this little stand alone. I’m also looking forward to seeing if Ginger & Spice liked my book. Plus I have a new giveaway on Instas to celebrate the launch of The Secret Proposal. And I finally worked out how to have a newsletter sign up on its own page on my website. I have so many hopes and dreams for October, I didn’t think that could be possible.
