April Amazon Results
Oh April, where to begin? After I was unsuccessful getting into BookBub mailout, I moved over to Plan B: other book newsletter mail outs. I choose the 5 day FREE BOOK promo I was allowed on Amazon and then advertised these five days across the mailouts. The end result? 7k downloads. I also lucked out by running the promo on a Stuff your kindle day. Plus, I started a Goodreads giveaway for 30 days. My giveaway was to win an ebook copy of my book (100 to be exact). Every entrant who enters then has me book added to their tbr list so hopefully they remember my book. All in all, it’s been a big marketing month! And a big learning curve month!
April was also the month to finish writing Depths of Depravity. I went back to the safe space of how I write and broke it down into three parts: James, The Red Job Board, Depths of Depravity. I had completed the first two so April was about being completely immersed in kinks and men and deliciousness.
Things I have learnt this month.
I have finally finessed my BookBub ads campaign to be around 1.5-3% clicks. Meaning I receive around 40 clicks a day from potential readers.
I loved the Goodreads Giveaway, will do that again.
Despite the fact I did receive 7K downlands, that hasn’t meant as many reviews as I had hoped. They have increased dramatically, but not as dramatic as hundreds or thousands, but maybe they’ll get me there one day!
I would still do the book newsletters again.
