April 2026 Amazon Results
Look at me writing April’s wrap up blog on the 1st of May. I know why. I have fifteen thousand other things to do, but it’s this one that seems the easiest. So here I am.
April kicked my arse and handed it to me. I had the school holidays, two beta listens for The Secret Club & The Secret Job. An indepth beta read/amendments for Sophies Story - The Secret Stalker. A quick turn around script for Sophies story (thanks to The Naughty Nook) and finding and asking my cast for her audio - and that was thanks to Samsbookspam who did a shout out for me a few months ago and found me my FMC & MMC. I also asked a few of the guys who did my past three books to join the cast.
I have also been working on a secret project which has honestly given me more sleepless nights then a newborn this month. It has been a crazy rollercoaster of incredible highs and desperat lows working on this project. I’m so grateful I end the month on a high. My secret project is coming together when it all seemed too hard and impossible. I can do hard things, even when I’m so far outside of my comfort zone I’m like a fish out of water. With the incredible help of Maddy & Kylie, plus my Beta reader Trina and Jenna, Jodie from Two Birds Audio and Berlin, I would say I have a beautiful and solid team around me. And I am so greatful for them. This month gave me River and I cannot wait for you to meet him.
Yesterday my email went out with Hambright PR and now I hope and pray many people want to read and listen to The Secret Club.
So, in terms of results, I didn’t have high hopes. I did a few free books and count downs again on Amazon which always helps, but otherwise no reels or paid ads. So really, the results are great. Not as good as last month, but I always expected things to calm down the less advertising I do.
Ok, so here are the results:
Orders: 763 (thanks to count down deals & free books)
KENP: 1,248,259
Amazon Reviews: 1,071 (4.3) - Based on Book One: The Secret Club in the US
Amazon Followers: 1,049
Preorders Book #4: 123
Aprils achievement: Does surviving count? Ok, I think it was finding River. I can’t tell you the full story, I don’t want to spoil the surprise. But I will circle back and tell you why in June, when The Secret Stalker is released and the cat is out of the bag!
Aprils lesson: I can do hard things. The universe kept giving me breadcrumbs of help and that kept me going until finally, I got to where I needed to be. I feel like the secret project I am working on is meant to be. It has tested me in ways I can’t even put into words. I just wish for this idea to work out in the way I hope so that my readers love and enjoy it. I’m 1000% winging it. But I believe in it. I will keep on going and pray I can pull it all off.
What will May bring?
I need to fix up and upload all four Clarendon Playmates books onto Amazon & Ingham Spark.
Hopefully launch The Secret Club on Audio plus The Secret Job meaning upload onto audio platforms.
