June Amazon Results

I’m a little behind writing this blog post with tomorrow being the 1st August but I think I’ll regret it if I don’t keep up with my monthly results. They are after all a mile stone, a record of achievement and if nothing else, I can look back and say I did my absolute best. So, let me cast my mind back to June, what did i do?

I started two book tours, one is LovenotesPR, a UK book PR agency I came across in Threads and also Naughtynook, a US based PR agency I also came across on Threads. Both looked awesome, both returned my emails. Therefore Lovenotes booked me in to start and end in early July. Naughtynook booked me in to start mid June to end of July. Perfect.

May I just say it was a nail biting experience waiting to hear what people thought of my book. I know its smut, but if I reader went in unaware, well, its going to be one heck of an eye opener…. And well, I did get those people. And those reviews. And they did hurt, painfully so. But I did also find my people. I received some really really great reviews and feedback. I found it fascinating what people enjoyed and took away from my story.

Then on 23rd June, I launched Book two: The Secret Job into the world. I signed up for another Goodreads giveaway and paid for a Bookbub New release email feature. I also paid for Bookbub ads like I had been doing the passed three months but this time I could re-target my own audience which I thought was pretty cool.

So, how did I do I hear you ask?

June results:

Orders: 288 (100 were Book two pre orders)

KENP: 317,850

Amazon Reviews: 150 (4.5%)

Amazon Followers: 200

Goodreads Reviews: 150 (4.33%)

Goodreads Followers: 20

Preorders Book #2: 111

Preorders Book #3: 51

What went well? I’m not 100% sure re-doing the Goodreads giveaway again helped a great deal, I think I got an extra 1k people add my book to their tbr list.

I’m not sure the Bookbub new release was good either because I think I recieved like 200 clicks which cost around $2 a click where I was paying roughly $0.50c a click.

But I am sure finding a few amazing readers who love my book helped tremendously via the PR agencies. Some had a decent following, some shout about my book at any given opportunity. And I found some friends. People who are rooting for me, send me posts that might help or interest me. Share my posts. Comment on my posts. I wont tour books two and three because they are so wild. But I will 100% go back and do it again when I write a story with more story then smut….. well I’ll try……
